James graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011, where he became part of the Equine Referral Hospital team as one of the Junior Clinical Training Scholars.

He has subsequently worked in a number of equine and mixed practices in the home counties, attending a wide variety of horses and ponies across all disciplines, from the much-loved family pony to some of the top polo teams and competition horses in the world. It was during this time that he developed his interest in equine dentistry, driving him to establish Home Counties Veterinary Dental Practice.

James is a fully qualified Equine Dental Technician, holds a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, is recognised by BEVA (British Equine Veterinary Association), BVDA (British Veterinary Dental Association) and a member of BAEDT (British Association of Equine Dental Technicians). This combination of years of veterinary experience and the BAEDT qualification allow James to offer the very highest standard of care.
